Our Infrastructure
All of our products and services are hosted on a cloud based infrastructure with the primary facility in Chicago and a fully redundant failover facility in Houston. This system allows our services to always be available to our customers. The term "cloud based infrastructure" means that our services are:
- Immune to hardware failures Our services are hosted by hundreds of machines at any one time. If any one of these machines were to fail, other machines would pick up the slack without missing a beat.
- Resistant to network outages By being connected to eight premium bandwidth providers at all times our services should always be fast and accessible. All network traffic is routed through the quickest network available at the time. If one or more networks go down, traffic for that network is routed through another network.
- Resistant to power outages All machines in our system have a three fold power redundancy system. If utility power fails, our machines will switch over to generator power. Just in case the generators fail, each machine has a battery backup.
- Fully redundant Our entire system is replicated to another facility in Houston TX. If for any reason the facility in Chicago fails, our servers in Houston will pick up the slack.
Our service is built on one of the most reliable networks in the industry, at the current time the network has been up for 2 years without a single minute of downtime. Couple that with a completely redundant and self-healing design, DataTrans is by far the least likely solution to experience downtime, no matter the conditions of the other providers.
